Marjen (formerly Childrenchic) was born in 2014 as an ode to the Spanish Mary Janes mothers Isabel Mendoza and Cori Galdo wore as girls. The classic silhouette was part of birthdays, family gatherings, and special occasions that became cherished memories. When they couldn’t find the perfect pair for their daughters, they set out to create it themselves, reimagined to be comfortable and durable enough for daily wear.

Each pair is a celebration of childhood. Ethically handmade using traditional techniques and premium materials, every collection combines timeless design with thoughtful details like flexible rubber soles, easy Velcro closures, and machine-washable construction built to last.

Our family-run workshops in Alicante, Spain, and Felgueiras, Portugal, have been crafting shoes for generations. Every pair is cut, sewn, and finished by skilled artisans. Passionate about shaping a beautiful future for our children, we are devoted to reducing environmental impact through thoughtful production, including recycled materials in our insoles and outsoles and RECY-Tex technology across select designs, which are produced using no water, no chemicals, and generate 0% CO₂ emissions.
